Description of the side event: The event will feature key Black Studies representatives from across the world as well as representatives of the OHCHR, UNESCO and the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, with the goal of setting an active agenda of propositions towards
the establishment of a UNESCO and OHCHR UN Global Black Studies Network—to encourage the study on, teaching, learning and proliferation of knowledge on people of African descent across the world.
